The Wammy
The Realise Foundation helped facilitate a piece of signature art specialy commissioned to mark the main entrance to a new neighbourhood park at Knutton and Cross Heath.
Local primary school children at Knutton St Mary's were invited to submit ideas for the project and came up with 15 proposals, all based on different wildlife.
The winning design by Felicity Higginbottam, features a great crested newt. She and her classmates were invited to see the artwork produced for generations to enjoy in the future.
The park known locally as the 'Wammy' is undergoing a programme of comprehensive remodelling, improving the living environement for residents and making it a more attractive place to live.
